“1st Toung Loong Rising Stars Basketball Invitational Tournament” was held in Chang Gung Health and Culture Village Gym on January 9th, 2016
On January 9th, 2016, Toung Loong Textile MFG. hosted “1st Toung Loong Rising Stars Basketball Invitational Tournament” in Chang Gung Health and Culture Village Gym. The event was a success with 12 teams from Taoyuan Primary and Junior High schools. On the game day, Vice Executive Officer of Toung Loong Textile Mr. Kevin Yu gave a speech in the opening to encourage our rising stars to show the result of their training and hard work through this channel. Before the games, Toung Loong’s manager Mr. Kuangh-Shuan Fan awarded the coaches of participating schools to acknowledge their dedication on basketball education.
After all the exciting games, the champions are (1) Junior High Boys: Taoyuan Municipal Rui-Ping Junior High School (2) Junior High Girls: Da-Cheng Junior High School (3) Primary School Boys and Girls: Taoyuan Municipal Xing Ren Elementary School Boys Basketball Team. Other participating teams are: Taoyuan Feng-Shu Primary School, Taoyuan Hsing-Fu Junior High School, SanDuo Junior High School, Taoyuan Junior High School, Taoyuan Municipal Jingguo Junior High School, Taoyuan Da-Yeh Elementary School, and Taoyuan City Indigenous Training Team.
The Taoyuan Plant of Toung Loong Textile MFG. has been in Taoyuan City for over 40 years. Toung Loong loves to support the local community and promotes physical education, therefore, launches “Toung Loong Rising Stars Basketball Invitational Tournament” to fulfill the need for basketball games for primary and junior high school teams in Taoyuan area. Players from 3rd grade to 9th grade are all out for the game. While players poured all their energy to the match and watched other teams closely, coaches showed their professional coaching skills to help the players in different styles, the court was full of enthusiastic energy. Next to the basketball court, students of Feng-Shu Primary Schools were studying and writing homework, the coach of Xin-Ren Elementary School hosted a textbook quick answer race, students of Jingguo Junior High School automatically organized lunch boxes to reduced volume of trash, in the end, players of Feng-Shu Primary School and Hsing-Fu Junior High School recovered the whole area. According to the aforementioned, we can tell these rising stars are not just basketball players, but also great planners and organizers who can apply what they learned from the court to their life.
