ZDHC announced that bluesign® is the first established level 3 accepted certifier for ZDHC MRSL Conformance in ZDHC gateway. According to ZDHC, this collaboration accelerates the textile industry toward sustainable chemical management. ZDHC is a collaboration to effectively eliminate hazardous substances from global supply chains of the textile, apparel, leather and footwear industry and supported by well-known brands. ZDHC has become the industry reference for holistic sustainable chemical management. In order to accelerate the speed to achieve the Roadmap to Zero Programme, ZDHC decided to collaborate with existing certifications instead of establishing their own certification system. bluesign® is a well-known and high-standard European certification for sustainable textile production. All the chemicals and components put into the supply chain have to live up to the safety standards. bluesign® is a holistic solution, not only the safety of consumers and environment protection are included in the certification, but also workers’ safety. As a result, ZDHC granted bluesign® as the first established level 3 certifier for ZDHC MRSL conformance.
